Chef Tasha
Owner and Private Chef

Picture
Latasha Dorsey, better known as Chef Tasha is an independent personal chef on the rise; her creativity plus ability to execute not only match her passion for the culinary art, but makes for many satisfied customers in the process. Starting with fruit, cheese and vegetable platters only, Chef Tasha’s Yummy Creations had no choice but to expand to an assortment of appetizers and finger food entrées after an overwhelming amount of curiosity.

Although she knew her way around the kitchen at the tender age of 12, Chef Tasha credits her craft to time spent studying Culinary Arts at Los Angeles Trade Tech, Le Cordon Bleu of Atlanta, as well as experience as a waitress in Washington D.C, a food prep for a vegetarian restaurant in Atlanta, and supplying food professionals at Surfas Culinary District in Culver City.

Today Chef Tasha's services include full on site catering, deliveries, private dinners and even hosts her own web series on YouTube entitled Show You How To Chef.

Tierra Diane
FOOD SERVICE MANAGER

Picture
Chef Tierra Diane's culinary career began at the age of 18 working as a server at The Olive Garden and Red Lobster. She immediately fell in love with the fast paced world of the food service industry and on her 21st birthday became a certified mixologist and worked as a bartender at Ruby Tuesdays, Martinis Bar and grill in Ft Washington MD and Club Venus in Washington DC. In 2008 she followed her childhood dreams of being an actress and moved from her home in Clinton MD to pursue her entertainment career in Hollywood CA. Working as a server at Fridays in Woodland Hills during the recession she found herself at a desk job in the banking industry.

There she met a mutual friend of Chef Tasha who knew her past experience in the culinary world and introduced them to work a Mother's Day event with Chef Tasha as a server and the rest is history.
Chef Tasha and Chef Tierra immediately clicked and Chef Tasha quickly convinced Tierra that she was a natural in the kitchen and groomed her to become her Sous Chef. Tierra had a new found love for food and passion for cooking that after working side by side with Tasha for 2 years in October 2015 she headed back to MD to go to Culinary school at L'academie de Cusine in Gaithersburg MD. During her externship at the infamous Watergate Hotel Tierra's skill precision and speed grew and her eye for fine dining plating was enhanced. Despite her career being on the rise in the D.C. Culinary scene Tierra returned to LA to work for her mentor Chef Tasha at Yummy Creations now as the Food Service Manager.
